Gigi's Cupcakes - Madison

I ordered four cupcakes, and they were all beautifully decorated. The cakes were moist and soft, with plenty of frosting. However, for the price, I expected more. The flavors were fairly simple and subtle, and the frosting was overly sweet. While it was a nice experience to have once, I don’t think I would find myself craving their cupcakes in the future.

I had a disappointing experience at this bakery. I struggled to get in touch with them—no one answered the phone, and my emails went unanswered. Eventually, we decided to visit their Hilldale location to custom order a set of 12 cupcakes for my daughter’s graduation. For $70, I expected much better than what we received. We took care to transport the cupcakes carefully, making sure the box didn’t move around during the drive. However, when we opened the sealed box, we were shocked to find the state of the cupcakes. I ended up having to “fix” them after paying a premium price. Honestly, I could have bought a more appealing set of cupcakes from a local grocery store for a fraction of the cost. If you're looking for custom cupcakes or cakes, I recommend exploring other bakeries in Madison that truly value their customers and offer better quality.

Absolutely delicious! Often, fancy cupcakes can be overly sweet, but these strike the perfect balance with a more subtle sweetness and fun, tasty flavors. It's rare to find strawberry or raspberry treats that actually taste like the real fruit, but these did not disappoint. I was a bit disappointed that we couldn’t try the macaroon flavors we wanted, but the ones we had were incredibly flavorful. The outside was crisp, and when bitten into, they had a fudge-like texture. The cheesecakes were also delightful, especially the turtle flavor with its caramel frosting!

Tasty dessert cupcakes. Premium prices typically with heavy (maybe too much for some) frosting. Big thumbs up for their scarlet chocolate cupcake (red velvet chocolate) not a typical madison treat.This place is best for a few cup cakes too expensive for a dozen.

Visited for the first time on a Sunday night. Cute small little shop. I went with the fun dip cupcake.. My daughter went with the lemon one and my other got the candy kiss one I believe it was called. Prices are high and kinda spendy for the size of the cupcakes but to be expected when going to these type of places and we wanted to treat ourselves lol.. Our cupcakes were very yummy delicious! We will be back for more when in town :
