Feedback gevenI don't understand all the bad reviews here. I was often in and out of Madison for the years, and always receive good service and decent food. Yes, the prices are high for what you get, but it's an airport. Shouldn't be so surprising. Yes, the bartenders are fast to give you the check, but again it's an airport. The food is not top-notch, but it is quickly prepared and filled. No five-star establishment, people.. It's an airport bar.
Waitress was attentive and saw to it that allergy concerns were dealt with. Prices were consistent with what you would expect at an airport restaurant (on the high side). Food came quickly and was tasty. Menu offered some interesting flavor profiles that are not usually seen on airport menus.
We had a bit of a delay due to weather and choose to get food before a long day of travel. Found out it was a torey miller restaurant which made us happy. His places have always been enjoyable place to eat. We had a hamburger, with some sort of light ranch dressing. Hot and great. We also had the chicken club with aged chedder, crispy bacon, avacado tomato and lettuce. The chicken was cooked great. Whole sandwich was wonderful. We also both had a side salad. Good but iceberg lettuce. Service lady started out grumpy and coughed on my wife. But she got happier and ended up be very good. Airport prices. $55 for 2 sanwiches and 2 salads.
Got served raw chicken here. Got a polite sorry and it was taken off my check. Of course this was right before a long flight. Any other place the cook would have been fired on the spot.
Ordered the cheese curds burger and it came out at a reasonable pace. It's over priced for the quality you get. The burger wasn't terrible but they do charge for fries and they were mediocre. This is really the only true restaurant in the airport.
