Smackin Lips Diner - Madison

My husband and I ate dinner at Smackin' Lips Diner, and enjoyed our experience. The food and atmosphere were fine, but our service was exceptional. Rachel was our hostess/server, and she was truly delightful; very friendly and helpful. Thank you for an enjoyable dining experience after being on the road all day.

Absolutely love this place and its food. It’s always good I never have any complaints! Today on the other hand I dined in with my mom and the server Rachel was very rude to her, I’ve never had an issue with any of the servers at smack n lips nor has my mom and she goes often and gets her food and is quiet, sits and eats , and leaves and tips quit well , but Witnessing Rachel who’s suppose to be professional and is her job to serve is discouraging to see act like a customer is a burden and rolls her eyes or walks away before the customer is even done speaking especially when it’s literally your job to serve, it is very unprofessional and to me is a liability especially when my mom always dines at smack n lips and never has an issue. Was just odd to me and ruined the vibe. But I LOVE smack n lips and the food!

Excellent, cheerful, expedient service. Two of us ordered burger which was nicely presented with leaf lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, brioche bun, and clearly handmade and cooked to order burger. Came with fries which someone in the kitchen had decided weren't enough, so they brought more to the table after our entrees were served . A really thoughtful touch. Other person in our group ordered club sandwich, which I thought about ordering but it had no turkey. It came served grilled (with addition of some sort of fat spread on bread) which neither of us prefer. Burgers were overcooked and dry, but the atmosphere is nice with a stab at a true diner counter. All in all we much preferred this place over nearby fast food establishments.

Kinda hole a Wallish but... worth the visit. We love this place it was fast, the food was good and the price was great. The waitresses are nice and we sat wherever we wanted since the place was not packed.

Horrible service. My family of 15 and I are visiting for a family day at Wild Adventures. We decided to stop at this place for breakfast thinking it would be a great experience. Two other tables had already been served so it was my family and i that only needed service. The waitress brought our drinks and said she will be back to us in a second. 4 tables came in after us and of course she took their drink order. We didnt mind but she never came back. She proceeded to take the other tables order and never came back to serve us. The other customers received their food and she never came back to us. We had to get her attention for her to just come back and take our order. We literally sat a little over an hour with no food, no refills, and not being checked on. The 4 other tables that came in after us had got their order in, received and ate their food and left before we decided to just leave. Very unprofessional and very disappointed in the service.
