Brother's -b-que - Madisonville

The location in Madisonville is very disappointing. Ordered 26 ounce ribeye cooked medium it came out well done. Ordered another one it was cooked right. No seasoning or flavor at all. Also it didn't look 16 ounces. Maybe 10 ounces. Over priced as well fora sub standard meal. Just a typical redneck place in a hick town. Won't be back.

This is a great family restaurant with excellent food. The place is always clean and the staff will do it's best to see you leave full and happy.

Most people understand that service is typically provided on a first-come, first-served basis, unless it's a situation with a handicapped customer. Assuming she would begin on my ice creams while I stepped outside, I took my food to the car. When I returned inside, I found her chatting with someone else. A minute later, she went to the back to prepare the ice creams but instead continued to engage in conversation with her coworkers. There was no acknowledgment of the time she was wasting or consideration that we had just spent nearly $80. I hope the owner sees this and addresses the situation, as this is not how service should be handled.

My brother-in-law came to visit and was craving some good Kentucky BBQ, but unfortunately, this place didn’t deliver. He thought it was alright, but my mother-in-law had a less favorable opinion and didn't enjoy it at all. The food is pre-cooked, and you order at a counter before they bring it to your table. It costs as much as a sit-down restaurant, but it feels more like a fast-casual dining experience.

Their barbecue is consistently good, but I find it overpriced. Charging $14.39 per pound feels excessive, even considering the rising costs of goods. Additionally, they don’t provide a sufficient amount of sauce for that much barbecue; a 2oz container just doesn’t cut it. I ended up having to spend more to get enough sauce for 3-4 people. I enjoy their barbecue, but the high prices make me hesitant to return. For 3 pounds of pulled pork and three 2oz cups of sauce, I spent $43.
