Buc-ee's - Madisonville

I had an amazing experience and I'm looking forward to returning.

Traveling over Texas and landing in this super huge gas station on the way. Perhaps the biggest I've ever seen! It is very clean with many products and snacks

This is a fantastic place to make a pit stop for gas, grab a bite to eat, and take a bathroom break! The sugary cashews are absolutely delicious. The restrooms are consistently clean and easily accessible. Plus, there are some friendly bees buzzing around.

The bathrooms at Buc-ee are always clean, with regular cleaning at locations in Ennis and Madisonville. However, I would advise against purchasing any unpackaged food items due to a major fly problem at the Madisonville location. When we inquired about the issue, we were told by a staff member that they have a problem with flies and brushed off our concerns. On two separate occasions, we purchased spiced pecans only to find dead flies inside the package, which was very disgusting. We can only imagine what the conditions must be like for the meat products. Fortunately, we were able to find an older employee who understood our concern and provided us with a fresh, fly-free product. The younger employees did not seem to care about the issue, which was disappointing. Despite this negative experience, the rest of the store offers a variety of unique kitchen and bathroom accessories that are not easily found elsewhere. The prepackaged snack section is quite large, as well as the selection of cold drinks.However, proceed with caution if you wish to avoid eating flies.
