Sabarees Veg Restaurant - Madurai

I have gone there for lunch as recommended by my friend. I just love their thali. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Would definitely recommend this to my friends in town.

Absolutely fantastic experience in the heart of Madurai. We have been a number of times during our stay. Would recommend going at lunch and asking for Thali, this is a selection of vegetable dishes with rice and popadom served on banana leaf. They will continue to top up the dishes if you want. In the evening we had dosa. The best restaurant we have visited in Madurai.

Our guide took us here for a lunch and it was some of the most delicious food we ate in India. He had us try the Gobi Manchurian and it was the best version of it I’ve had. Definitely recommend stopping here for lunch

We heard a lot about this place, unfortunately our experience was quite disappointing. The food they served(Medu wada) was stale and cold. On complaining they said it was prepared in morning and said sorry, but no efforts were made to replace it with fresh hot one. I’ll not recommend this restaurant if you prefer hot tiffin.
