However: Where else do you find home-made bread or home-made chocolate, offered with a smile ? Not to mention a true value-for-money three course dinner where both the meat and the fish option were delicious. A pleasant atmosphere with the right lighting, an attentive service and an adequate selection of French or Italian wines rounded out the experience. Family-friendly with high-chairs for the little ones. Recommended.
We used the warm aseptemberweather for a cozy evening in the garden. The welcoming and appealing ambiente immediately provided the right feel and a successful evening. This was rounded off by the friendly service. The wine card leaves no wish for any money bag and in the beginning. The menu also offers a rich selection of freshly prepared dishes.A discovery and secret tip for magdeburg.
To the evening we sat in the cozy garden and ate we tasty lasagne and then self-made strawberry tiramisu.
Since the excellent restaurant of Best Western Geheimer Rat was closed we needed an alternative. The hotel pointed us to this one, probably because it was close by, offered Italian food and is pretty relaxed. Upon arrival around 6.30 PM we were seated outside in front of the restaurant which was fine, because it was a very warm day with a minimum of traffic. However the trams are quite noisy when they pass by every now and then. There were only a few others groups by then, but it took very long before the waiter (owner ?) came and took our orders, even though we tried to catch his eyes etc. When another waitress arrived things speeded up a bit despite more guests were arriving. When we finally got our food after an hour or so it wasn't fancy or anything, but tasted really well. We tried 2 different pizzas, their classical lasagna and a "today's special" (tagliatelle with beef strips). When we were finished we were able to get the bill quite fast and hurried back to the hotel in order to allow ourselves and the kids some sleep as we had a long day's driving ahead of us.It is not easy to know for sure, but when we got back home my husband had a quite severe case of diarrhea. We don't no if he got it from this restaurant, but he was the only one having fresh salad on top of his pizza. However we also used rest rooms on the motorway so who knows.
We were with the family due to previous reviews in this restaurant. we had the opportunity to sit out or in the restaurant. we chose the first variants. because the restaurant is located directly on a much busy road, it was quite loud. the facility in the restaurant itself is beautiful and suitable for the kitchen. the staff are friendly and attentive. eating is ok but nothing special, which should be a matter of course for the trips. the salad with the goat cheese croutons was in fact a handful salat with 3 white bread slices with goat cheese. the fish soup was rather a fish pan and the big cheese variation (price double digit) was with 4 eckchen cheese and apfeldeko a little disappointing. they were standard products and not a syringe product. my conclusion: more appearance than being and the price/performance ratio is not true in my eyes.
