I arrived during a slow time when they weren't too busy, which was a relief because I didn't want my dog to bother anyone. I was expecting to be seated outside, but they offered me a table inside, saying it was too cold outside even with the dog. They were very accommodating to my furry companion. The food was delicious and I had trouble deciding what to order. The server mentioned they had a small amount of homemade chicken and rice soup left, so I ordered it and it was absolutely delicious. The server only charged me for a cup portion since it was the last of it and she didn't expect there to be so much. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is cozy, and the service was outstanding. I'm grateful for finding this place.
The food at The Twisted Spoke was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture as I devoured it. However, I did capture a picture of the Pumpkin Cobbler dessert! The atmosphere was excellent and our server, Lee, was fantastic. I highly recommend The Twisted Spoke; it is not just a biker bar but a fantastic restaurant with incredible views.
The location was beautiful, the atmosphere was laid back, and the food was delicious. The service was friendly. Only negatives were: it was hot, there was no ac, and there was only 1 ceiling fan inside. We forgot our to-go box with a full sandwich and half the fries in it (literally like $15+ worth of food) and realized it before we got to the front door but by the time we turned around to get it they had thrown it out. Wish they had taken the time to see if we had left beforehand. So don't forget your to-go box!
A must stop in Maggie Valley. Very cool old mountainside restaurant/ bar totally rentivated and decorated to celebrate the American Biker spirit. The food is excellent, and the staff was friendly attentive. The new owners are hands-on are ready to make this the Go To place, right off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Maggie Valley...
I was just passing through on a drive around the Smokey mountains national park and got hungry. So, I selected the first restaurant that popped up on maps and I was not disappointed. They have only been open a few weeks so still working out some kinks as far as the availability of menu items, but the sausage sandwich was delicious and the house seasoned fries with homemade garlic aioli was as fantastic! Nice views from the patio also!! Would have been 5 if they didn’t run out of some of their menu items… of course it was Sunday 45 minutes to closing time!!
