They were pretty busy, so I'll give them a passport. The rub on the ribs had a great taste profile and a lot of depth. The Bbq sauce has a unique smokey tomato base. I can wait?t to go back here and try more delicious food! Enjoy
The price of BBQ these days is crazy, I ordered the piece of beef with onions, pimples, jalapeños. Also came preloaded with sauce that was good, but I rarely use sauce on Brisket. But that's for me, I don't know this setup. I'm sure I have my money on beef. Parking was full service was excellent, land decoration and clean toilets if I lived here would definitely return.
Was very unimpressed with the quality of food for the price. Have better service and better food for much cheaper elsewhere. The brisket tasted like something you can buy at HEB prefabricated. My 6yo wouldn't even eat the missing Luster Mac Cheese, and it's her favorite food. But what I like most was the Cole Slav! It had a terrible lemon and celery taste and was NOTHING like South Cole Slav. I have no interest in returning to this place.
I understand that people have different tastes when it comes to Bbq and Saucen, but I'm not a fan of this place. The sauce is really sweet and the smoke on the meat is bitter. The beans must have their Bbq sauce in it because it is also sweet. I like mustard salad, but this place has too much must in it. The only thing we would eat again is the fried Okra and that doesn't mean we're going to a bbq place. Page. The toilet washed my hand and they were made of paper towels to dry. No biggie, but decided to tell an employee so that they could fill up for other people and their answer was yes I know and went about their business. This can only be a lack of customer service training on their part.
We were looking for a place to eat lunch on the way home to College Station from the airport on a Friday. Driving through Magnolia, we stopped here based on reviews and this place did not disappoint! We pulled into the packed parking lot and walked in. The place was packed with law enforcement, workers and families. The atmosphere is lively and fun, very casual, and they have a deck with outside seating as well. I had the ribs with Mac cheese and green beans. Hubby had chicken and sliced brisket with okra and potato salad. It was delicious! All 3 meats were juicy and well seasoned, both with spices and smokiness. My ribs fell off the bone. The sides were great, the green beans especially... Though the Mac cheese didn't disappoint either. The staff is all SUPER nice and helpful and the owner was hilarious and came to check on us to make sure everything was to our liking. This place is a gem! Before walking out, we purchased a couple of their home made desserts to take home! I got key lime pie and hubby got blackberry cobbler. Now, he's got a CRAZY sweet tooth, and LOVES blackberry cobbler, but this particular one was a little too sweet. The key lime pie, however, was AMAZING! Perfect tart and tangy and just sweet enough. The fresh whipped cream layer on top and the key lime filling were both light and airy and melted in my mouth. The graham cracker crust was buttery and perfect. We live in College Station, but we will be driving back to Magnolia regularly to frequent this place. It's THAT good. We have BBQ places here, but NOTHING this good.
