Cafe Noir - Magog

I would give this place more than five stars if I could. I travel a lot and Cafe Noir serves the best croissants I have ever had. The Montreal bagels were freshly baked in a wood oven and far superior to the ones I can find in Ottawa. I ended up purchasing several dozen to take back home with me. I also appreciate that they open early for breakfast, making it convenient for me to stop by in the morning.

The bagels and breads at this restaurant are fantastic. During our week-long stay in the area, we made sure to buy some every day. I highly recommend trying them out.

We absolutely love the bagels at Cafe Noir and make a point to visit every time we are in the townships visiting family. We feel fortunate to be able to enjoy Montreal bagels even when we are out in the country! We always stock up on plenty to take back home to Ontario and savor each and every one.

We were in Magog for days and our air BnB host recommended this place. We went twice since we loved it so much! The first trip we tried the donuts and bagels; both made completely fresh, served to you warm! Then we came back...before heading back to Ottawa, to have a regular and choc/almond croissant and to buy a couple loaves of bread to return home with; we got the cheddar loaf as well as the grain; both were delicious! We also bought some of the black garlic butter as well as a garlic oil (which we dipped the breads into), all were delicious. Definitely a place to visit if you want some fresh pastries or bread to bring home. There was also a stand out front selling fresh produce and corn; we didn't purchase any of this, but it also looked very good. Excellent neighbourhood bakery.
