Been to this spot numerous times in the past and was always disappointed. Went two weeks ago and went back again last night. Remarkable changes. Place has been redone and is now beautiful. Food and service, both lacking in past iterations, were both outstanding. Great location is now coupled with great redesign, food, and service. Will absolutely be back.
Went for birthday dinner . Again, disappointed! Totally rushed but that would have been fine if rushed with good meal. Lobster ravioli was anything but, plain cheese more appropriate. Paid for lobster. Short rib gnocchi, don’t look for short rib. Was sliced as a cold cut order, and very little. And this was VERY expensive. Gladly pay for what I asked but….
It does not have much of a lunch menu at all. Just a few basic sandwiches. The food is good for dinner but extremely pricey for the portions. The scallops and Risotto were good but Risotto could have been cooked a bit more, scallops were good.. The Swordfish was ok but bland taste. They have redone the looks and seating which is nice. However they're are nickel and dime every drink you get. If you ask for extra you do not get it and if you do you are charged a lot. It is like they are measuring all alcohol out. I understand we are in COVID so no buy backs but if you ask for extra should not be an issue. Very overpriced. I will wait until they are open longer and hope they get more of a selection for the lunch menu.
This restaurant has new owners and is no longer Blu. The menu is extremely limited and not very original. The service was slow, but that just might be excused because of staffing issues from the Covid slow down. I can only speak about the two dishes we ordered. The salmon was just OK with a standard restaurant portion of salmon served with a blob of spinach and a scoop of mashed potatoes. The scallops dish was a real let down. The portion was three rather small sea scallops (1 diameter) plopped around a sticky mass of spinach and rice. And the prices were extremely expensive for such a small and mediocre dinner. The parking lot was packed and the dining area was noisy in that kind of way that restaurants use to seem like a happening place. That's the only reason I can figure out why the parking lot was packed.. I will not be returning to this disappointing place.
