Blue River Café - Maidenhead

Blue River is a good restaurant, but there was an issue with OpenTable not forwarding our reservation. When we arrived at 11:45, they had no record of our booking and didn't open until 12:00.

The restaurant is clean and comfortable, offering a magnificent view of the Thames. They have a good selection of food at very reasonable prices. There was a minor issue with the staff, but the manager promptly resolved it.

The terrace and garden were quite dirty, with used plates left on the tables and napkins scattered on the floor, along with cigarette butts. The staff seemed completely disorganized and indifferent. The food was below average. It's such a shame, as the location by the Thames is truly beautiful!

Although a fantastic location, it’s gone downhill over the last few years! I booked through open table, and they didn’t have a record of our booking and so we were lucky to get a table outside on the terrace as they hadn’t reserved it. Slow service. Not very impressed. Will not rush back here.

They had no record of our booking, but as I had confirmation they put an extra table in, but this was adjacent to the music. We had two courses but no one came back to ask if we wanted any dessert or coffee.
