An excellent meal. More restaurant than pub, although there is indeed a public bar. Decent wines by the glass, super friendly service. Smallish menu, about 50% fish/seafood, and most of the dishes were fairly rich; the ones we had were tasty. Lovely cosy atmosphere, makes your meal a very relaxing experience. Outstanding food, served by very pleasant staff Amber Manager and Alice waitress . Tried Welsh Rarebit , scotch eggs and breaded prawns from the snacks menu, followed by Goats cheese beetroot tart as a starter. Followed up with Venison and Cod fillets as our mains and ended with Rice pudding and chocolate fondant for dessert. Restaurant has its own car park with plenty of parking and a lovely garden for sitting outside. I would thoroughly recommend dining here. First time I’ve been here since the new owners took over. The food is fantastic and the service was impeccable. Atmosphere was nice and it was great value. I’d strongly recommend this as one of the best local restaurants.
