I highly recommend trying their signature dishes, they are one of a kind. The atmosphere is also very pleasant and inviting. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I will definitely be returning to.
The food can be a bit bland at times, but the prices are fair. I usually order delivery and can confidently say that 9 out of 10 times the food arrives either early or on time.
The dining experience is almost perfect, especially when the restaurant is bustling and the staff are young and stunning.
I had a disappointing experience last Friday when I ordered a kebab for myself at this restaurant. Despite being told twice that my card was declined, I ended up having to pay in cash. However, when I checked my bank statement on Easter Monday, I saw that I had been charged twice for £11 each. I tried contacting the restaurant through phone and email, but received no response. When I finally did get in touch, I was questioned as to why I didn't report the issue sooner. It's frustrating to be out of pocket by £22, and if I had known about the double charge, I wouldn't have ordered from them again two days later.
Back in the 90s, this place used to be my favorite spot for kebabs, always serving up great food. So, when I found myself in Maidstone recently on a night out, I was surprised to see that the place was still there. Feeling hungry, I decided to stop in for my favorite lamb doner, even though it was late, around 11:30pm. I ordered a large lamb doner for £8, opting out of any salad garnish and just asking for chilli sauce. In the past, I remembered the experience of watching them roast the meat on the burners, slice it into long strips with a long knife, and toast the pitta bread. However, this time the whole process was over in about 30 seconds as they simply took pre-prepared meat bits from a metal box and placed them on a cold pitta bread in a polystyrene container, pouring the sauce over it. I was disappointed with the overall experience, but being hungry, I paid and left. As I walked home and ate the kebab, I found the meat to be barely warm and lacking in flavor. The biggest letdown was the "chilli sauce," which turned out to be some watery onion and tomato salsa with no spice or flavor. The only positive was the generous portion of meat. I've had much better and cheaper kebabs elsewhere, so unfortunately, I will not be returning to Atilla.
