Florentine steak , parmigiana, zaffran rositto
The osso bucco was fabulous itself. The side of something like rice with yellow sauce was interesting, but hard to digest. The service was ok, but not great. Had to remind the waiter twice about two things, and the drinks were slow in coming, despite only having only eight other diners at that moment. The restaurant looks good, with heaters nicely place for the surprisingly cold December evening (7 C)
On of our favorite lunches we had in Milano. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside as you approach it, but it's super cute inside. More importantly was the food. Our antipasti was two dishes, polpo (we are suckers for octopus done right), and burrata (also suckers for this cheese too). Both were terrific and did their job...to open the appetite. Our primi was a linguine for me, and tagliatelle for my wife. Both were just outstanding. Didn't have a secondi or dolce because we were already stuffed to the gills for lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to have it again if we ever have a return visit to Milano.
