Taylor’s - Main St, Kilwinning

Had christening recently,was really disappointed on how disorganised it was,my friend went down at 10.30,had to hoover function room,organise tables and chairs,nothing set up even though we were arriving at 11.30.Buffet not organised on time kept having to ask for it,toilets disgusting no hand wash,papper towels,badly needing cleaned up....only good point,kids had a ball due to our entertainment that wee provided......would avoid Taylor for any event....badly needs cleaned up.

Cheap and cheerful staff were lovely needs a good clean as a bit run down but I would go back

Three of us had a really lovely meal in the bar with Tala the spaniel in tow. They even bought her a bowl of water. Steven the barman looked after us really well, despite being the only member of staff on duty due to sickness. He offered to get ice for my wine and took the time to explain things in on the menu to my mother-in-law. Very reasonably priced food and drinks. The bedrooms were clean and adequate for an overnight stay prior to our trip to Arran. It’s very near to the Ardrossan ferry, we would definitely recommend it as a budget pre-ferry option.

Due to train cancellation and 45 mins to kill. Popped into the bar for drinks with friend's. The outside entrance was not inviting. Inside was better than expected apart from a leak which seemed to be ignored by staff.Reasonable selection of drinks, however 2 out 3 draught drinks asked for was not available. Not the best toilets with a bucket catching slops in the gents. Food was on offer but the environment put me off from eating!

Had a birthday dinner for my daughter last night 22 people couldn't fault the food or the service the staff very friendly couldn't fault them at all and special thanks to Greg and Thomas for all there help definitely 10/10
