Club Social - Maipú

From our experience, the townspeople come here for a special occasion (a grandmother was celebrating her birthday with around members of her family). The place is well appointed, on the first floor of the town's Social Club, the service is professional, and the food...is good. We had two dishes. One was called Pasta Symphony and consisted in gnocchi, ravioli and fettucini topped by three different sauces (spinach, tomato and bechamel) forming the Italian flag. It was superb. The other dish was a steak, topped with bacon and a red wine sauce and with a side order of fried yam. Both were good quality, although the steak was a bit overcooked. The prices were reasonable. If you are looking for gourmet food, go to the fancy restaurants in the area, and to the wineries. If you are looking for affordable dishes, go to Don Tomás, the name of the restaurant.
