The Whistler - Maitland

While we love the look of this place, the breakfast was underwhelming. I ordered poached eggs on toast which consisted of two huge chunks of toast top of which perched two tiny close to hard boiled eggs. The large cappuccino I had ordered was lukewarm and under-caffinated. Sorry, but don't think we'll come again.

The Whistler is a bar in the main street of Maitland. It has a good bar menu and a variety of beers and wines. They seem to specialise in cocktails which once ordered they bring to your table. The staff were pleasant, it had a good ambience - would recommend, especially on a Sunday night when not much else in the CBD seemed open.

We attended a birthday here on Saturday night. The atmosphere was great and the decor is very well done. The selections of wine, beer and cocktails is fantastic. The only issue was there was quite a wait on cocktails. The food we had was amazing, best tasting pizzas! We look forward to coming back again

We booked a table for 25 for a sporting group. Was advised originally the function room was booked so expecting to be seated in the main area BUT pleasantly surprised to walk in to find we had the back room.The room was great as a number of the group were older so the quieter area worked a treat. The food was VERY good and the beers were awesome. Beers are not cheap but a great selection.This is a great looking venue and was packed and can see why. Well done guys and thanks for looking after us on Sat night.

Love this new place in town, funky decor with hip staff serving a great variety of alcoholic drinks and cracking food. Love the Japanese influences on the menu.
