Even if the cronuts have run out for the day, you should stay for the masterfully prepared pastries and the good selection of antipasti. Also, if you're looking for a quiet cafe to think and relax amidst the hustle and bustle of the central business district, you'll find it here. Too bad the actual Mandarin Hotel badly needs a renovation.
No exaggeration, they really do have the best cronuts! I'm actually not a big fan of the pastry but their version got me hooked. I love the chocolate flavored one because of the filling that's creamy yet has a very texturized/rough consistency. It isn't too sweet either!
Mandarin Deli is amazing! It's not just their MO Crodos -- but it's especially their MO Crodos. They also have donuts and delicious sandwiches that I would totally come back for. But their Cronuts are just out of this world.
Following the Amercan trend is not always a bad thing - case in point: The cronut by Dominiqu Ansel. I have tried 4 of what people have said is the 'best'. Mandarin Deli's version, Mo Crodos, I must say is the best if not my ultimate choice. The crisp of the bun is just right, not too sweet and the custard filling will make the calories worth it. That said, they have increased their price from Php90 to Php130. It is not cheap but this luxury is worth it. I would try it now before they get more ideas of increasing the price further.
All of the MO Crodo flavors are great, but the vanilla's EXCEPTIONAL so try out that one first and experience HEAVEN! The PhP100++ price tag, IS TOTALLY WORTH IT. But Mandarin Deli, it would be great if you can bring it back to the original price, even for a limited time only. I will buy MO Crodos every day if you do that. Hehehe. But joking aside, these MO Crodos are GREAT. Try them. Try them now!
