Loove their egg yolk steamed milk and dark chocolate eggette.. Steamed milk really taste like leche flan that most filipinos like.. The good thing is that it isn't too sweet so you can come back for more.. :)
Located at the hippest food hub "Hole in the Wall" at Century Mall. The stall design takes you back to old asia with its tiled wall and classic chinaware plating. Pay as you order. The Set Menu with a pair of warm waffle and chilled milk is priced at P150. HITS: Milk Tea Classic or Green Tea Eggette (aka Bubble Waffle) MISS: Chilled yolk failed to impress. In pinoy terms, its like a leche flan with thin layers of flavor.
Milk Trade has this vintage Hong Kong vibe. It looks like a stall from old Chinatown or something. Milk Trade basically serves 3 things: Steamed Milk, Eggette, and Milk Tea. Much as I wanted to order everything on their menu, I didn’t because we just had dinner and this was dessert — we may not have the space for all the variations of Steamed Milk. Anyhow we ordered their ultimate combo, Steamed Milk with Eggette (P150). Steamed Milk comes in 2 flavors: Plain and Chocolate. You can have either White Plain Steamed Milk (just milk) or Yolk Plain Steamed Milk (with egg, like custard). Steamed Milk can be served warm or chilled. Since it’s so hot already we opted for chilled Chocolate Steamed Milk with our Eggette. The Chocolate Steamed Milk tasted like the ultra rich, creamy, and chocolatey Magnolia Chocolait drink that came in glass bottles when I was young. Yum! Delightfully not too sweet too. But the real winner for me was the Plain Steamed Milk White (P100). My goodness, it’s milk but it’s so much more! I can’t explain it but it’s just SOOOO good. How do you make this??? I’m so glad we ordered their Hong Kong Milk Tea (P100) upon the staff’s recommendation (despite already having juices from another stall). This is the frickin’ bomb! Hubby and I both agree that this is hands down one of the BEST milk teas we’ve ever tasted. The smooth brewed tea is just sweetened with condensed milk. No powders, syrups, sinkers, and whatever. Just good old-fashioned high quality brewed tea. You have to mix it up with the condensed milk using the straw for a balanced taste. While the offerings are a bit on the pricey side (they’re all quite small in terms of serving sizes), they’re worth trying. If you order dessert from a restaurant you’ll be spending about the same amount (or more) anyway.
