It is usually crowded during the weekday lunch hour so I highly suggest sending an advance party around 11:30 AM to reserve a table. I almost always order the Lechon Kawali Rice Meal--a sizable slab of deep fried pork belly with bagoong rice and pakbet vegetables on the side. For a little over P200, it is one of a few options around for good-value-for-money meals combos that are better than the usual cafeteria fare. facebook.com
The Plantation is one of the many good places to eat/drink in this strip. The food is relatively more expensive but it certainly makes up for the taste. Service is fair, considering that it's more of a watering hole than a restaurant. Food: 7/10 Price: 6/10 Service: 8/10 Wait time: less than 10 mins (weekday dinner time) Parking: side streets only
The place where you can sit comfortably beside a stranger in an NBA FINALS game with their Bar chows: cracklin crablets - not the best batch i've tasted chicken fingers - yum! cereal crusted chicken fingers - yum! chicharoni - sinful and other bar chows! main - roasted shrimp and sausage jambalaya (good for sharing) but the best seafood and rice in one plate, i order this everytime.
Good ambience and great food! I ordered their Baby Back Ribs while my aunt ordered one of their rice bowl, Oragon na Liempo. Worth the price. Will definitely come back!
Been here twice, and I couldn't say anything else but food is great. Better service compare to the services of Ortigas Branch. Just make sure that you will read the menu and don't just rely on the order taker. Why? We went there for birthday lunch. So we asked what were the foods for sharing because we were a group of 15. One particular lady order taker told us that all food for sharing doesn't have rice. Without glancing at the menu, we asked here what were her recommendations. She recommended Jambalaya which was for sharing, we ordered 3 of that. And so we ordered that and chicken and some other stuff. Together with the other viands, we ordered 16 rice. And when the Jambalayas were served, we requested to lessen the ordered rice from 16 to 8. Obviously, we didn't know what Jambalaya was until then. And the order taker did not even care to inform us when she knew that we are overloaded with rice already. And what pissed us off? they don't wanna cancel the 8 extra PLAIN RICE. When they can serve it to other customers anyway. That's just it but everything else was great.
