Rodeo General Store - Makawao

We love taking our guests to this restaurant every morning and afternoon during our Downhill Bike Tours. Our favorite part is the daily dad jokes, and we adore the ladies working in the front, along with Puff the famous cat. This place is the heart of Makawao and truly captures the essence of Makawao Town. Aloha - Maui Easy Riders.

Plenty of selection for a small store. New owners seem to be turning the store in a healthy direction. Very low staff turnover is a good sign. A solid spot to grab your staples in Makawao

The Rodeo General Store is a great spot in Makawao! They offer a variety of products, including a wide selection of alcohol. While prices may be a bit on the high side, it is to be expected. It can be difficult to find good drip coffee (dark roast) in Makawao, but the RGS has you covered! They have a good selection of coffee for home brewing, as well as three different roast levels available daily with both dairy and non-dairy creamer options. You can also find fresh fruits and vegetables, hot prepared foods, and some entertaining pre-coffee trivia. The staff is friendly and welcoming to both locals and tourists, adding to the laid-back island ambiance of the store. During my month in Makawao, I made sure to stop by RGS at least once a day. Keep up the fantastic work!

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 30 years and it is a favorite for both locals and tourists. They offer a variety of options including a deli, ready-made food, hot items like burritos, plate lunches, and sandwiches. They also have a fantastic wine cellar and beer selection for those who enjoy alcohol, as well as a great variety of kombucha.

In my opinion, I had to go into a store called Rodeo General Store! I wasn't looking for anything specific, but I ended up finding the one thing I had been searching for for years. After a security guard made me throw away a perfectly shaped water bottle at an event (no water bottles allowed, filled or empty), I had been waiting to go back to Maui to find that bottle again. It is the perfect size to carry in my purse without taking up too much space. However, my search had been unsuccessful on many trips. While browsing Rodeo General Store, I looked into the refrigerated section and saw my small water bottle!!! My daughter grabbed two of them!!! I didn't care about the price, but they were only 99 cents each! I know this may be a strange review, but Rodeo General Store made my trip!!! Oh, and they also have a great house cat!
