Satori - Makawao

Food truck Sushi so fun! Very fresh and authentic hand rolls. Not a huge selection of fish, but that seems reasonable considering that it is a food tuck. Plenty of outdoor shaded seating. Got a sushi bowl, 3 hand rolls, 2 seltzer waters and a miso soup for $70ish including tip.

The pics don 't match reality. It 's now very run down and dirty. The restaurant was nothing more than a little shed where the girl reheated precooked food. The food was mediocre at best at a ridiculous price. If you are a visitor, STAY AWAY. She made it more than obvious she wanted nothing to do with us. Not rude, but very curt. But when a local came in, her personality completely changed and was all bubbly and sweet. When talking to a local we were staying with, they said they 've heard the same complaints about her and refused to do business with her as she was the anti-aloha and detests visitors.

Don't just walk past this place. Excellent sushi rolls with a local touch on ingredients.

Yum!Takes a while but so delicious! Sit down and enjoy the atmosphere while you wait it's worth it!I got the roots on fire and the special which was a vegan roll with hamakua mushrooms. So tasty!Vegetarian options: Delicious! This place knows what do to with veggies. Some places just throw in veggies and call it vegetarian, but these folks clearly enjoy their veg and know how to use them.
