Although the line was long (as expected as the Char-Siew is on point), they took the time to explain their menu and prices. The aunt even sat with us and had a conversation for a bit. Family for over 100 years... definitely worth a visit!
A must go for the best roasts in Malacca. Since I was a little girl. And quite funny to sit (if you're lucky), where the whole choppy action is!
Char Siew Rice can be found in this small stable (5.50 MYR small, 6 medium and 8 large). You have to shut up before the stable and place your order there. The food was served quickly despite the number of customers. The meal was very delicious, with some nice BBQ pork bits. However, the proportion was rather small (even if I took medium). The service was fine. It's still something to try when you're in Melaka.
There are 2 Char-Siew stands and this one is directly opposite. Her speciality is more on Curry and sambales Chinese roasted meat (chicken, Char Siew, Sao rou, sausage... rice. The curry is tasteful and not too spicy and meets the taste of the roasts. For more spicy kit, this is savory, try her sambal that have a pronounced taste of dried little shrimp (Xia mi taste and a kick of saltiness that fit the taste of the pig.
All Chinese BBQ pork is NOT created equal!!!! Wow! Nothing short of amazing and not expensive. Vegetables and braised egg were great too!
