Via Col Vento - MALCESINE

What amazing people and staff. Superb location. Last weekend we had my daughters wedding reception here. I can't praise them high enough. Regrettably in the afternoon my computer with all the music (including Scottish dancing) was stolen in malcesine.. On discovering this Erika had offered us 3 potential D.J.s. A potential disaster was avoided ONLY thanks to them. On this day I could not have asked for more. Everyone (including visitors from all over the world) were very very impressed not only with food and service but the wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. I had a big party with more than 60 guests at the restaurant Via col Vento in September and it was fantastic. The location was beautiful, the staff very friendly and the food delicious. As the weather was good we could seat outside with a wonderful view on the lake of Garda. This restaurant is perfect vor special events or even just for a good lunch or dinner in a beautiful location.

We went here after being out on the Lake and arrived, starving, at 13.00. We ordered drinks and food straight away. The drinks (2 sprites, 2 glasses of the same wine and a bottle of water) took 15 minutes to arrive. The food (2 pizzas and 2 salads) didn't arrive until nearly 14.00. Almost one hour?! Really disappointing. But the food was tasty and the wine (Lugano) was fabulous. Location was delightful lakeside and fun to watch windsurfers whilst we ate.
