It would of been nice if there was a hairdryer in the room. Tea and coffee is supplied in the room. Sadly no breakfast. We ate in the bar and the food was tasty and plentiful with lots of menu choices. The pub has a large well kept garden and ample parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent food, great hosts and service. 5 in the group, all had fish. Amazing value for money. Huge portions. Highly recommend.
Michael and Lorraine looked after us splendidly on our visits for dinner. The welcome is exceptional and we were given the refectory table by the fire on the drizzly night. As we were on a sailing trip stopping off at Bradwell this was even more welcome. Michael is an excellent chef providing a good range of well cooked food. Michel and Lorraine went out of their way to persuade the local fisherman to catch skate wings for us. It is a delight to have found such an excellent pub with great hospitality and superb food. Would highly recommend a visit.
Lovely old pub, friendly staff. Nice area and garden. The portions are huge which I personally find quite off putting but some May like to get their moneys worth. The pie was nice enough flavour wise but the pastry was a little thick for me. Would have preferred sauces in bottles or dishes rather then the annoying sachets that you can’t ever open. Would go back if in the area and try a less filling dish, especially in the winter to see the fire going in the huge fireplace
Beautiful old pub. The prices are quite high for a pub, but the quality is excellent and the service was speedy. Very friendly and helpful staff
