Feedback gevenI visited Cafe Element for lunch during a business trip. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed by the lunch menu. I opted for a safe choice of meat and potatoes, but found it to be lacking in flavor. The salad bar could use some improvement as well, with heavy options. The service was confusing and did not offer assistance in English. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for me.
Chef deserves all the praise for the excellent food at this restaurant. The quality, variety, and freshness of the ingredients are top-notch. The coffee is always outstanding as well. Whether you're there for lunch or dinner, you can expect a great meal. I recently had the best mushroom risotto here. In the summer, there is a nice outdoor seating area in the nearby alley. It's a wonderful spot to have a lunch or dinner meeting with friends or a small group. You'll enjoy the delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and good conversation, as long as you and your companions keep up the chatter.
We enjoyed a typical Swedish vegetarian meal. Lost the name but it was the first item on the menu board. Very tasty and filling. Great service and relaxing location under the trees.
We only entered because of the heavy rain. Very kind and helpful host(ess). The relation to every guest is as natural as the way of service (partly self-service: water, sugar, milk, etc on open desk). One gets power and happiness here (beside the excellent tea) in this modern quiet cafe.
Yesterday, we went to have lunch at this restaurant. The atmosphere, both inside and outside, was great. However, there was a short line and we were disappointed to find out that they had run out of the dish of the day, even though they had just opened for lunch. The woman taking our order seemed very agitated, which is uncommon for staff in Sweden. We had to choose something else, which did not come with the buffet, coffee, or any extras. Then began the long wait. People at other tables told us they had been waiting for over half an hour. The kitchen staff delivered the food without acknowledging customers, showing a lack of care. When someone asked why it took so long, they were told that homemade cooking takes time, which was deemed insulting by everyone. Some guests ended up leaving without receiving their food. When we finally got our food, it was cold and lacked flavor, giving the impression that it had been reheated from the fridge. The whole experience was a mess and embarrassing. The owner was nowhere to be found. It took 45 minutes to get the food, leaving us only 10 minutes to eat before returning to work. There were no apologies or explanations from the staff, just angry faces. It felt like the staff had rebelled and just didn't care anymore.
