Coffee was good and the ambiance cheerful though unobtrusive. Mostly organic and with a lot of options for people who won't have dairy and/or gluten.
We've been here a couple of times since the new owners took over. There have been noticeable improvements to the main dining area between the 2 visits. With the floors, walls and ceiling refinished its a lot brighter and inviting. The food's on the move too, several new dishes on the small menu are new, the favourite chicken curry was gone but now we have a new favourite!! The meals are delicious, simple combinations done very well for meaties and veggies.... Service is relaxed and friendly, and the prices competitive, a great place for brekkie, brunch or late lunch...
Great little cafe, food is always fresh and tasty, service polite and professional, most importantly great coffee. I will be back on future visits to Adelaide.
Located on the just busy enough duthy street this place delivers great food for either breakfast or lunch. Nice and bright interior with plenty of natural light. Highly recommend the dukkah eggs!
From the outside, the cafe itself is quite unassuming - inside, they have gone for a rustic/hipster feel, however the atmosphere of the cafe is somewhat cold and it lacks the bubbling, vibrant feel that one would expect. We were shown to our seat by a lovely, attentive waitress who continued to serve us throughout our lunch with patience and enthusiasm. The entire menu is tempting, and the side-notes explaining what substitutions can be made are a nice touch - it's great to know exactly what will arrive on your plate. I ordered the vegan version of their seasonal vegetarian burger on a gluten free bun - the bread was spongy and delicious, and the burger itself was loaded with greens, lentils, and mushroom. Delicious cashew cheese was just the icing on the cake, washed down with a special tummy-tea served in gorgeous cups and a teapot. Unfortunately, it was a very expensive meal, almost $30 for a burger and a cup of tea, which (as other reviewers have mentioned) is not a competitive price compared to some of the surrounding cafes. However, you do get what you pay for - high quality ingredients and flavour explosions in your mouth!
