Last night i received seafood plted refrigered! Yes, i know sound hilarious, but i think the chef forgot to put it microwaves... Now when i am writing this review we are waiting for entrees for abiut 65 minutes. I asked the waiters and they said...they don’t know whats wrong in the kitchen. Honestly it’s embarasing for a 5* hotel to have a 1* restaurant!
Akolade is a great restaurant. We ate here two evenings, and the food was very tasty and of good quality. The service was prompt and the menu was extensive. There is even a children's menu and you could color on its back (colors provided by...the restaurant). Great place to eat in Mamaia!
Not listed here is another restaurant at the vega, Shanti. It seems to be an attempt at fusion of some kind. I run in at the onset of rain and was hungry. The decor is really sumptuous even have a Steinway piano! It started ok...with an amuse bouche offered from the house, a prawn wrapped in potato spaghetti and fried served in bottled sweet chilli sauce. Ok For starters I had tempura veg, fair enough but would feed three as a starter, served with bottled sweet chilli sauce. Main course was sweet chilli chicken. It came as a very dry grilled breast which had been basted in sweet chilli sauce (bottled) And three halfs of baked potato, no other garnish, a very dry mouthful indeed, served with??? You guessed it, bottled sweet chilli sauce!!!! A very poor effort from a place showing 5 stars.
