Art Basil - Manalapan

Do not visit here if you value honesty, integrity or a restaurant that does not punish you when you send back food to be more done. I ordered a pizza that was half baked when served. The cheese was not even melted. I simply asked the server to have the pizza cooked longer. Twenty minutes later I inquired as to the pizza and I was scornfully dismissed for even asking. Twenty minutes after that, a total of forty minutes after I sent the pizza back to be cooked, the server said that the cook had been trying to fix the pizza but was going to make me a new one. My dinner companions had finished eating 15 or 20 minutes earlier. This was their way of punishing me for sending the pizza back. I asked for the check. This is one of the worst dining experiences that I have ever had, as I reported to my server who claimed to also be the manager. Bad food and bad service sometimes have a good explanation, blatantly punishing customers for asking to cook a pizza longer is inexcusable.

Five stars for sure chef Ricky cooked a phenomenal pizza for us but the real mvp was our server Roy within minutes of conversation with Roy we felt like family it's refreshing to meet real people these days. While the atmosphere is artsy and fun and outdoor seating nice on a cooler evening, I can't speak well on the food. Both my friend and I ordered the Sausage and Broccoli Rabe and had to send it back. The broccoli was so salty and the sausage rather flavorless. I ordered the Sicilian Style Wings instead and unfortunately they were lacking in flavor and had too little salt. The service was great, I just wish the food was better.

This Restaurant is across the street from the hotel we visited. I had steak, husband had the beggars purse and kids had pizza- everything was delicious! We ate inside because it was too hot out. The waiter, Fernando, was the best, very accommodating and the artwork inside was so cool. Very chill place- we will be back again, thanks for a great dinner! Service: Dine in
