Tom had a spicier lamb dish that allowed heat but didn’t overwhelm the aromatic and full taste. I’m ashamed to say this was the first time I had collard greens! Just the right mix of sweet and citrus. Adal was helpful and humorous, showing how to eat with the thin bread pinches. Can’t wait to go back! They do take-out too!

The worse experience ever!!! Rude service and cold food. This place is always empty and I know the reason why! The food is cold and service is slow and rude. We ordered the Vegetarian Platter it was nice to have the food served within 5mins, but it was cold. I understand the bread is cold, not all the dishes. Upon saying that the food was cold, rather than trying to fix it. We were told it's cold for you, and hot for their standards. He said he doesn't care about it eat it or leave. I am all for supporting small businesses, but Walia needs to understand customer service and food quality. Horribly disappointed!
Traditional Ethiopian cuisine served in a simple authentic manner that highlights the complexity and subtlety of the excellently prepared food. Very attentive and friendly service this family run business exudes pride and care for the customers experience. This is an excellent Lola even to be ring a group of friends that enjoy sharing. The diversity of foods from carnivore to vegetarian is bound to please most palates. While complexly spicy it is not spicy hot unless indicated on menu. Downside, if you are a drinker they have a very limited selection of Ethiopian alcoholic beverages. While listing 8 items beer and wine on the menu they only had two available. The real disappointment was the lack of the traditional honey wine which is a must have for the complete experience. All in all good place to try and to return to as well.
I hadn't been here in a while so I stopped in here for dinner on a Wednesday night. We found parking right outside which was nice (since it was so cold) and didn't need to walk far. We had the place to ourselves when we first got there but a few other tables showed up throughout our dinner. We ordered the Walia special which came with chicken and beef for meat, and then an assortment of vegetable options. It was all very good and had a nice spicy level to it. I do wish the Walia special came with 3 meat options and then the vegetables as well but I suppose you could always order the meat combo plate and a side of veggies? The staff is very friendly and comes over to check on your frequently. Overall, this place is still great and I'd recommend a visit. Especially if you haven't had Ethiopian before.
