The atmosphere makes you really enjoy the whole dining experience. The only thing we can suggest to improve is the service time. It took almost 30 minutes to serve us and we had to ask for our coffee to be refilled (Even though there were only two other customers in the entire establishment). Details that definitely reduce the quality of a place like this. But overall it was a good experience and we recommend it.
I’ve been to Franklin for brunch and it was decent. But me and my friends went to dinner last night. We had wild mushroom risotto, shrimp pasta.Absolutely disappointed!! The taste of risotto was like jasmine rice with cheese. We were so hungry we ate it all and the portions were extremely small. I cannot believe for 27$ they gave very small portions. We all had to order each person a dessert in order to fill our stomachs. If you plan on going to Franklin go for brunch not dinner.
Delicious food. We had a weekday brunch on a random day off. I'm so grateful that they're open for weekday brunch. We had the crab cake eggs Benedict and the wild mushroom omelette. A warm, inviting ambience. Our server Sonjia was very friendly. Will definitely be back and want to try the one in Secaucus too!
I wish they would update the menu offerings to reflect what's current. The cavetelli carbonara is still advertised as including lump crab. I can totally understand needing to alter a meal given the current state of the supply chain, but don't get me all excited for a meal that includes ZERO pieces of crab. ? It's my favorite meal from The Franklin, but I would've ordered something else has I known. I had to go behind them and doctor it up with my own frozen shrimp to make it a full meal and fix the taste of the sauce that was lacking due to the absence of the crab.
The Watermelon Mint Lemonade was fantastic, as was the grapefruit juice. And I enjoyed the cappuccino too. The chicken and waffles were intriguing. The chicken was pan-seared, which was different, but the portion was quite small compared to the waffle, which is usually larger and fried. However, the waffle itself was impressive—thick, fluffy, and delicious, though don’t expect something along the lines of Waffle House. The steak and eggs were genuinely delicious. The scrambled eggs were light and perfectly cooked, while the steak had a great marinade that made it juicy and tender. Overall, it's a nice spot to visit in the neighborhood!
