One of the older bars in the Northern Quarter has recently undergone a renovation by the owners of Simple and Wood, giving it a fresh new look. The bar staff are very friendly and are happy to create a custom cocktail for you.

Off the beaten track, away from the usual Northern Quarter revellers, hidden in a corner, lies this unassuming bar. It's a great destination to unwind and catch up with friends. Whether you're grooving to the ol' skool, soul and funk remix scratched together by live DJs, or indulging in a Cord special cocktail, you'll find yourself lost in the chilled out atmosphere and soon your life worries will be but a distant blur. I had the Dirty Boulevard (strong!! and a friend had the Bad Apple (it really does taste like apple crumble! cocktail and if given an earlier start (it was a Friday , I'd love to make my way down the cocktail list! For me, it was a good way to end a stressful work week and a nice opener for the weekend.

One of the few original NQ bars, Cord still has a great vibe and hasn't been too overrun with scallies on a Saturday night. Good beers, good vibes.

I absolutely adore this hidden gem. I have visited multiple times with friends and couples, and it is always a fantastic place. I recently participated in a cocktail master class with Reece, who was excellent. He engaged everyone and the cocktails were incredible! I highly recommend it!

I'm not quite sure if that's a good thing, but at the end of the night the pub was drunk practically dry. all hung away, guinness gone, cider even went to my arrival. it was 9 o'clock. great music.
