It wasn't to my taste, all over-flavoured and spiced, but it was clearly well cooked and presented. Although my server waitress was pleasant and brisk, service was inexplicably slow, despite only five tables being occupied. At least four minutes before my wine arrived, and over five more before my starter (sausage, only lukewarm). Main took ages and my dessert (delicious cooked apple) was so long coming that I missed my train home. I didn't want rushed service, but 95 minutes for three courses is too slow in my book. I DO NOT blame my waitress; kitchen was at fault. I won't go back, but I think most diners will have a delightful meal in Gaucho's amazing, rescued church decor.
Amazing food, great to see the kitchen from your table. DJ not required really. Disappointed on getting the bill that we were charged for the olives and bread (waiter presented them as a no cost) plus they gave us 2 portions of each (which we hadn't asked for as naively we thought they were complimentary). Bill came to £500...
Great restaurant, amazing staff and delicious steak
A slightly more formal ambience than we had anticipated but the staff were, without exception, friendly, welcoming and attentive. The steaks are first class as good as I have eaten in the UK with a great variety of types and sizes as well as accompanying sauces.
What a fantastic meal and service was excellent from arriving to leaving thank you will definitely be comming back
