The food was simply amazing! The taste was undoubtably the best. We have tried several African restaurants in Coventry London and Birmingham and jollof cafe is simply the best...the decor is looking tired and the table cloths look like they needed to be washed, but other than that.. brilliant place!
Do not go to this cafe, it is infested with rats despite its clean appearance at the front. Many residents have complained about the rats entering the gardens from this cafe. I have pictures showing the extent of the infestation. Stay away from this place.
Gotta admit the joloffe rice is nice but after waiting 50 minutes and paying £8 I expect more than 1 chicken drumstick and another slither of chicken. Absolutly disgraceful. Will not visit again in the future.
Jollof is situated out of town adjacent to the busy A57, making it an ideal stop if you're peckish on the way home from work. It's a small restaurant that serves hand made, authentic African food. We had curried goat, with some deliciously flavoured rice. It was a great super tasty. The staff were absolutely lovely too. It would be a great place to bring children, as the staff are friendly and it's a small establishment. Highly recommended.
The restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, but offers a unique dining experience. The owner was friendly and offered helpful suggestions on what to order. I especially enjoyed the house Jollof rice. The fish dishes looked delicious and I plan to come back to try them.
