Pho - Manchester

We visited the restaurant on Easter Sunday evening and were quickly seated. The service was friendly, but overall we found the experience to be disappointing. The summer rolls, which we have enjoyed in the past, were less enjoyable this time as the soft casing was hard at one end. It seemed like they were not made freshly or stored properly. While the soup my husband had was fine, his curry and rice dish was lukewarm and the rice was hard to touch, possibly due to incorrect reheating. Although the food was not inedible, it was not up to the usual high standards we have come to expect from Pho. We hope they can return to their old standards, but for now, we will be taking a break from dining at Pho.

Seated fairly quickly but then it took 20 mins until someone came and took our order for drinks, this was at 4pm so it was fairly quiet. We thought we better order 2 drinks and the food at the same time. The staff were quite often just chatting (group of four) and not waiting the tables. Food was ok, not special though.

We came for lunch, we were seated and ordered pretty quickly and the tables around us filled up and ordered too. Then nothing for ages, nobody around us was getting anything either but the waiting staff had all gone awol so nobody to speak to. Eventually the waiter appeared and said that there was a problem with the printer in the kitchen, none of the orders had gone through. It didn't stack up really, all the customers had noticed nothing was coming out of the kitchen, I can't believe the waiting staff hadn't noticed and done something about it. The staff didn't seem interested or bothered and the food still took an age to arrive. To be fair once it did arrive the food was well received, I enjoyed the pho. But they'll be waiting a long time for my next visit.

Not been for a while and while everything was good it was certainly not as good as previously. The food was good particularly the starters. Service was okay but could have been more helpful with menu explanation’s. We would try again but found it disappointing compared to previous visits.

Cannot fault the food here Its amazing. The service on the other hand is poor to say the least. In most restaurants, you are asked if you want a drink. Not here! Having reviewed the menu and placed them on the table, 10 minutes later I had to call over a waiter to take an order. I also had to attract a waiters attention again taking quite some time, to refill a sauce pot. Sadly by the time they did so, the associated food had gone stone cold. Please train your staff to actually attend tables correctly, you add a service charge to the Bill without asking, so how about you actually provide a service? Again I cannot actually fault the food here, just teh level of service.
