This BBQ joint is extremely good and definitely hugs the TX curb of divine BBQ. The owner, Bubba, is a native Texan who throws down on some great Western slow smoked brisket. The wait staff is kind and genuinely friendly with one of them creating possibly the best mac and cheese our table of Texans has ever tasted. For good TX cooking, PLEASE STOP AND TRY ;
My husband and I were starving and desperately trying to find a bite to eat to finish up a drive that took hours longer than we had anticipated. We literally stumbled across Bubba's BBQ. We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, hospitality, and food. Bubba was there himself and went above and beyond to serve us, even though he didn't open for another 2 hours. The pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, beans, and hot sauce were all top notch. We felt like we had stepped into any fantastic bbq spot in Luckenboch, TX, a great stroll down memory lane for us. The music was good (Waylon, Johnny, Conway). The place is homey with about 10 tables and a bar. We are seriously considering driving back there tomorrow night for dinner, to try the Tuesday brisket. If you are in the area at all, you should make this a stop. It is well worth it. Right now, hours are 5:00pm- close during the week and open for lunch and dinner on the weekends.
Great little barbecue place in Mancos. Amazing pulled pork sandwiches and brisket. Good atmosphere and happy hour specials.
