Feedback gevenPicked-up a french apple pie at sugarhouse this afternoon. An 8" pie would set you back about 1500++ but its well worth it! The pie is perfect - it has a rich buttery crust which is generously filled with apples cooked in more butter and cinnamon, and the whole thing is topped with a sweet crumble. ???? the pie comes with a side of french (chantilly) cream and cheese in separate containers. I saw an ad on their counter that says they give 20% off during your birthday week - glad i had a photo of my bfs passport since the cake was for him. Yay for discounts! This promo runs until the end of the year.
Went home and saw a box of Sugarhouse in the fridge. (Sorry bout the pics, straight from our fridge!) So now I'm here to review their Cashew Toffee Cake! I like this cake because: 1) It's not too sweet, not "nakakasuya" at all. You know I'm eating a cake, not entirely sugar! 2) It's so chocolatey and crunchy at the same time..I've always been a fan of crunchy cakes, remember that chocolate mocha crunch cake from Red Ribbon, really don't know why it's gone now 3) Frosting is covered not only with toffee bits but cashew bits as well. Crunch in every bite! Plus a big slice of toffee on top!

The cake comes with a side of French (Chantilly) cream and cheese in separate containers. I got the apple cake and it wasn't very fresh. it was tasteless and very, very dry. the cream that should come with him was frozen and came out of a plastic bag. there were also shredded cheeses as if to add nothing to the cake. the lady who served us was to work there alone and really friendly, unfortunately the cake was not good.
