Donut King - Mandeville

This place only accepts cash or checks, which is refreshing in a world dominated by digital payments. The donuts are delicious, regardless of your personal favorite. Make sure to try the apple fritters as well! I've visited many times, but I've never spotted the king or any royalty. Perhaps the king thinks he's too important to mingle with the common folk.

This is a fantastic local donut shop! My wife and I frequently bring our two boys here. The owner is usually on-site and kindly lets the boys venture into the kitchen to grab a warm, fresh donut and observe how everything is made. They absolutely love that experience and mention it all the time. It's these thoughtful touches that truly distinguish a business from its competitors. Donut King has become our go-to place for weekend treats!

We arrived just as the restaurant was closing and were directed to the drive-thru, which turned out to be a delightful surprise as the owner himself served us. We mentioned that we were visiting from out of town, and he generously shared many recommendations for local sights and attractions. He was a great guy! And the donuts? Absolutely fantastic!

A great spot for hot donuts made the traditional way. They also have special offerings for kids on their birthdays. As a fellow veteran, I encourage you to pay Mr. Keith a visit and let him know that Joel sent you. You won't be disappointed!
