Lalou - Mandeville

This charming restaurant, housed in an old converted home, offers a delightful atmosphere. The menu boasts a wide variety of choices, blending classic favorites with many unique dishes, making it a must-visit. For brunch, I faced the tough decision of choosing between sweet and savory options. I eventually settled on the Redfish Benedict, a delicious twist on the classic Eggs Benedict, which was cooked to perfection. Although the potatoes were baked instead of fried (the fryer was out of order that day), I found this alternative to be quite enjoyable. The staff provided excellent service, always refilling our coffee and being incredibly attentive. As an out-of-town visitor, I highly recommend LaLou and look forward to returning someday to try some of their sweet offerings!

Fantastic brunch destination! It's always bustling, but the delicious food and attentive service make the wait worthwhile. The Shrimp and Grits are outstanding! The Stuffed Brioche French Toast is absolutely massive! You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The service was excellent – they provided a pitcher of water at the table, refilled our orange juice and coffee twice without us even needing to ask, and frequently checked in on us during our meal. The tables are covered in paper, and they offer crayons to keep the kids, and playful adults like us, entertained. We're definitely coming back!

I recently stumbled upon this amazing restaurant a few weeks ago, and I've returned several times since. I've made it a goal to sample a new dish each visit, and I must say...everything is absolutely DELICIOUS! While great food is crucial when picking a place to eat, LaLou goes above and beyond with its welcoming atmosphere and exceptional service. I would definitely rate it a 10/10, and I plan to return (most likely tomorrow morning)!

The biscuits with the sides of butter and blackberry sauce is awesomely good! The service was outstanding (our server was Liz). The food was fantastic! Will definitely be back very soon!!!! The lemon ricotta pancakes are the bomb as well as the biscuits and gravy with potatoes sausage and scrambled eggs
