Stopped here at the suggestion of a new local...ok so it's my daughter that has moved to this area of the hanging moss! We started out with an order of the thin sliced onion rings that came with its own dipping sauce. They deserve 5 stars and were fantastic! Hickory bacon cheeseburger with Garlic Fries- the wedge potato fries are drizzled with garlic, parsley and butter. The garlic fries are 5 stars....Yummy yummy but I could feel my fat cells exploding with joy! The burger (3 stars). was good but I should have had them add tomato and lettuce. The table has mayo, mustard and catsup if you want to use it. Thin fried catfish and shrimp with beans and rice. the catfish was 4 stars, the beans and rice was 3 stars. The fried shrimp was totally disappointing with only 2 stars. Seemed small, from frozen and prepackaged. The chicken tenders were good worthy of 4 stars. Free self serve Ice cream is always a fantastic finish. Yes 5 stars according to those happy fat cells.

The New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood Company serves delicious food at great prices. When you arrive, you order at the counter, receive a number, and choose your seat. Drinks are self-serve, along with a soft-serve ice cream machine for after your meal. On our latest visit, we tried a guacamole burger and a roast beef po-boy, both served with tasty garlic fries. The roast beef po-boy was enjoyable, but the sesame seeds on the bread didn’t quite fit; to me, po-boys shouldn’t have seeds—those belong on hamburgers. The burger was cooked perfectly and generously topped with guacamole, making it very satisfying. Other menu highlights include catfish (available in thin or thick fillets), the 100 shrimp po-boy, and a variety of po-boys and burgers. The food is consistently good. Service has been pleasant, but since you generally serve your own drinks, the server mainly just brings your food. This system works well, and there's nothing wrong with it. I always struggle with how much to tip in a place like this, so I ended up tipping my usual 20%, though it felt a bit odd. If you're looking for a tasty and affordable meal, this is definitely the place for you.

I always look forward to visiting this place whenever we're in Mandeville to see family! The Thin Fried Catfish Platter and the BBQ Shrimp PoBoy are both fantastic. It's also a great option for pickup orders.

Stopped by here because we wanted to try some Louisiana food but left disappointed. The food actually looked better in pics on yelp than it tasted. Ordered 3 fried shrimp platter but got popcorn shrimp for all of them or so it seemed because they were super tiny and frozen. Ordered a fried shrimp po-boy and was given cat fish instead and the bread was so stale and hard. The garlic butter fries were good but fries itself was too salty and the onion rings were also good but soggy. My grilled fish was super salty and sad looking. Garlic bread was also stale and hard, no garlic at all. Gumbo was alright and the burger was also not good. Fried catfish was for some reason really sour and so was the tartar sauce. My hush puppies were dry and flavorless, couldn't even eat it. Overall I do not recommend

My fiancé and I came here to enjoy a dinner for the evening. I got thin fried catfish platter and she got thin fried catfish with gumbo meal. First off, they bring hers out and it looks like a child's plate! Small tiny pieces of fish. Mine comes out and looks borderline ok but pieces of fish were again, tiny. Well we tasted it and it was cold and old. Bread was hard and not good. So needless to say we had to do something we never do and do not like to do and that's complain to a manager. So we did and of course it was not solved properly. We paid over $31 for these trash meals. They take $10 off for hers and gave me a gift card for me to get another thin fried catfish platter. Manager knew neither one of us were still satisfied. She still refused to give us a full refund claiming I ate a lot of mine which I explained to her I did not. So we walk out here throwing away $20 and hungry. Oh I'm supposed to come back and use gift card and get ripped of twice?! I totally do not recommend this place it's a complete ripp off. Beware of places like this where you pay before you eat. Lesson learned and for others sake, be advised and please eat elsewhere.
