However, we came across a new restaurant called Sampathkumar Bhavan on the way. Feeling hungry, we decided to go in. The restaurant was almost empty, with only 2 other customers. The seating was comfortable. We ordered 2 thali lunches, which were delicious and reminded us of homemade food. The lunch included pickle, paratha, gashi (chickpea curry), dry curry, rasam, rice, puliyogare, buttermilk, and extra salt. The puliyogare was particularly tasty, so we ordered another serving. We paid only Rs 140 for the meal. The owner's service was good. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Melukote.
Upon arriving in Melukote with my wife and child, it was already past 2pm and we were on the hunt for Subbanna Mess. After searching for about 300 meters with no luck, we stumbled upon New Sampathkumar Bhavan. Feeling tired and famished, we decided to give this restaurant a try. The place was nearly empty, with only two other diners present. The seating was simple but comfortable. We ordered two plates of lunch, which turned out to be delicious and reminiscent of homemade food. Our meal included pickle, paratha, chickpea curry, dry curry, rasam, rice, puliyogare, buttermilk, and extra salt. The puliyogare was especially tasty, prompting us to order another plate. The total cost came to just Rs 140. The owner provided excellent service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Melukote.
