Mama D's Italian - Manhattan Beach

I recently visited this restaurant with my family and friends on a very special evening. We had come from a nearby store, and since it was the night of the holiday fireworks in Manhattan Beach, CA (December 9, 2018), every other restaurant was completely booked. We have been dining at this restaurant for 25 years and had never felt the need to leave a review until now. However, I noticed a review dated November 24, 2018, claiming that this restaurant is no longer in business. It's perplexing why reservations are still being accepted for a restaurant that isn’t operating anymore.

The restaurant was closed despite having a reservation and a confirmation email. They should remove the information about their business from their website.

Great food and service. On a cool night, very chilly if sitting by the front door which is understandably constantly opening and closing...

We arrived and the restaurant was packed full of dates, families, and group gatherings. I can see why it would be nice for a family to go there but we were unimpressed with the staff, food and felt rushed to get out. After ordering a bottle of wine it came to the table already opened and not tasting of a usual wine we had. The pasta was rich and sauce tasty but was cold but the minestrone soup was tasty.
