Tao Yuan Seafood Restaurant Cebu is about 3km away in Amaia Steps Mandaue
The food, especially my favorite Laksa has an authentic Singapore taste!
Used to get intimidated by Tao Yuan branch in Resorts World. Looks pricey, too. Was surprised to see this branch in Lucky Chinatown Mall which offers a dimsum promo of 50% off from 2 5pm. We ordered the following: Siomai huge siomai pieces with whole shrimp as topping Ham Soy Kok generous filling of minced pork in fried glutinous rice ball Pan fried Vegetable and Pork Bun big pork patty as filling. Reminds me of my favorite Fried Siopao in Ongpin. Chicken Feet Best chicken feet I have tasted. They are huge! Asado Bun very fillinh and tasty asado filling in soft siopao dough Hakaw glossy wrapper with huge shrimps as filling Beancurd Roll very meaty and not much extender I ended up ordering another tray of Siomai even after the promo period because I really loved it. There are 2 things that kept me from giving them a 5 star: the bland Avocado Shake, and the not too friendly staff. This restaurant is expensive, but for the taste, you get what you pay for. But, well, it’s better when it’s on promo.
As always there shabu shabu is the best in town... the waiters and wait staff are quick and excellent. Try the pata tim and special fried rice...
