La Riviera Mexican Grill - Manistee

Things to know: upon entering there are signs posted saying their pricing has changed since April, which we could see on our menus; they were whited our and rewritten with new prices, no problem. However, once the bill came the kids meals were $1.50 to $2.00 more than the childrens menu showed. When we asked the waitress she pulled out a menu, different than the 5 kids menus we had on the table. Also, we paid with card, but when the recipe came back there was a surcharge, which the waitress said nothing about and we saw no signs that said cash only. The food was good. The service was fairly quick. The restaurant is small and far from clean. Kids meals don't come with a drink, that's an extra $2.50 and chips and salsa are only complimentary for the first basket, no matter the group size. Seems like it is closed now. Just tried to call. Also had word the other day they have been having issues with staying open. It's a shame some of the best Mexican food in the area!!!! I was looking forward to eating here. Hopefully it's temporary. Hope you guys can figure it out and open back up

Wife and I are frequent flyers at this restaurant and it is going down fast like the titanic. $52.00 for two fajitas and water, including tip and we both walked away eating nothing more than vegetable fajitas.. would be great if that is what we ordered but we ordered fajitas with 4 types of meat. It is disappointing when you go to make your fajitas and literally have to pick through all the veggies to find any of the 3 meats and shrimp that is to be part of the dish.

We came in about 20 minutes before close, desperate for a place to eat. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient, and our takeout was ready quickly! Everything the four of us ordered was DELICIOUS, plus they gave us lots of chips. Great prices for the portion. This place may not look like much, but the great service and food cannot be beat.
