Water's Edge And Lounge - Manitou Beach

Cost is reasonable for what they offer. Lots of choices. Friendly staff. Food is tasty.

We (couple) waited quite a long time before we were seated. The restaurant was fairly busy but definitely a few vacant tables. Probably low staffed so they couldn't seat us earlier. We waited around 15 minutes. Once seated the service was good and the waitress was attentive. Drinks and dessert were good. We ordered food to go. The food was average at best. Nachos had very little cheese on them and were rather chewy and corners partially burned. Did not enjoy. Vegetarian rice bowl was flavorless. Perogies were good. They forgot to give us our drink as we came to pickup our order so we called them as we noticed later and they brought it to our room along with a free drink. That was nice.Overall 3/5 experience: Wait too long, food average, service good

We went for lunch and were treated to great food and fantastic service. Our server Hardeep was gracious and professional and seemed to genuinely enjoy her job. My favorite part of the meal, aside from the food being reasonably priced and tasty, was when Hardeep brought us our meal and stated with a smile, Enjoy your lunch. If there is anything you need I am at your service. Her smile and attitude made the experience above and beyond typical.

We got there and there was 3 other tables with people at them. We had our order taken promptly, our starters were brought out in under 10 minutes. Our main courses however, took well over an hour. We finally asked the waiter what the hold up was as other people had arrived well after us(30 minutes later) and had already received their food. He apologized and said he held back the order . Not sure what he meant by that. We then asked for our meals to just be packed up at is point because we had a 6 month old baby who was getting tired and hungry after sitting at the table for over an hour. Another 20 minutes go by and we finally got our food to go. My parents however, decided to stay and eat theirs at the restaurant and didn 't receive theirs for another 10 minutes after we left. Once they received their meal, their veggies and potato were cold. My husband and I got home and his meal looked child sized. One small scoop of potatoes and one small chicken breast (cordon bleu). He was left feeling hungry after he finished eating. My parents eneded up getting $30 off the meal and did not tip the waiter. The bill was still over $100 and in my eyes was not worth the wait and still not sure what even happened as it was not busy when we arrived. We will not be back. So disappointing.
