We were too late for lunch and early for dinner, so we had the place pretty much to ourselves for a while. The food was spot on and our serverwas all smiles, very sweet and attentive to our party of six. I've been lucky to experience good service, but this was excellentservice! The restaurant is situated with lake views and was very comfortable.
My party had the chicken fried steak three cheeseburgers and the fish dish. Bahamas was amazing so is the tabouli and the salad bar was fresh. The drinks for Front and the service staff was amazing I highly suggest stopping by this place for a Lakesidemeal. Consider bringing your boat as they have moorage. The staff sang for our 80 year old birthday boy. Yes they really dohave fresh alligator!!! And the homemade onion rings are to die for
We we?re pleasantly surprised. Seating was nice. View at night is refreshing. I had chicken fettuccine big serving average dish. Husband had chicken fried chicken again very big serving and very tasty. My favorite were the free appetizers theybrought to the table. Bread loaf, peta, hummus, sweet pickles. Yummy!! The steaks looked fabulous. A bit to pricey for us.(Starting at $40) We have our own cow and make our steaks exactly like we want at WAY LESS RESTAURANTS COST. But if you don?thave that luxury I have heard many people say, ?one of the best steaks they had ever eaten.?
After trying to find two other restaurants in the area without success we happened by this one and gave it a try. The server was fantastic, very attentive and helpful even though she was very busy. We had two hamburgers and alligator. The hamburgerswere good but to me not worth the $14 price tag. The fries were fresh hand cut and very good and mushrooms amazing. The gatorwas surprisingly good and the salad bar had a lot of items to choose from. Overall the food was good. The view was beautiful, Ilook forward to coming back to see it in the summer. The only bad part for me were the prices. We had two burgers two beers andtea and it was $50. If you are going to charge me that much I want perfection.
We went to CAPS to celebrate a birthday...we usually go to Tulsa, but this time we decided to stay local. This was our first visit since they changed owners from Freddie's to CAPS. I ordered the catfish dinner and it only came with 1 piece for $16.99.The chicken fried steak tasted like chemicals or dish soap or something. Three people tried it and all three said the samething. The chicken Alfredo was huge but didn't have much sauce in it. One person in our party ordered the burger and said it wasreally good. Freddie's seemed better. The chocolate shakes are really good!! Our waitress tried to do everything she could tofix the problems we had. All in all, we probably will not be back.
