Great Hospitality A local pub, never before visited, but dog friendly so decided to stop in and have a late lunch. First, a friendly welcome with a smile at the bar by the Chef, always a good start to be actually made to feel welcome. The pub was not to busy, the facilities were clean, tidy and homely. A typical pub menu, with reasonable choice. Served again by the lovely lady Chef, hot, presented nicely and tasted great award winning pies and great fish and chips. Good value for money well worth a visit … Remember to put your vehicle registration number in the machine at the bar …

DON'T GET CAUGHT OUT ON THE CAR PARK! Went here late one evening for the 1st time,was dark,car park wasn't well lit up didn't see the signs to say you have to give your car registration details and 2 months later had a fine of a £170! Being disabled I was shocked! Emailed green king,with little success in a reply, never mind an apology! Will think again about going to green king pubs in the future

After occasionally attended this bar I have had a good experience, however I now won’t be giving them any custom again due to their ridiculous parking system. Ok in the day it’s clear signage, however at night when you don’t expect to have to be charged to park the signage isn’t as clear, nor did the other occupants of the car. We stayed there all night and now costing us £100 for the pleasure. You wont be having another penny green king I do have proof of purchase from the bar, however “it’s not our problem” doesn’t wash.

Nipped in to speak to the manager about a query. Sorted promptly and professionally by ISOBEL. Great service! Furthermore, stayed for brunch coffees … lovely and great value. Was in watching sport a couple of weeks ago … great atmosphere. I should go there more often.
