The Clare Inn Irish Pub - Manukau City

This restaurant deserves more recognition. It is one of the few pubs in Auckland with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, fantastic staff, passionate owners, and a great pub menu. The food is all homemade, with the cakes and burgers being particularly delicious. It's not a cheesy Irish pub, but rather an authentic one that serves a quality Guinness. There is a wide selection of drinks available, including craft beer, standard options, wine, and spirits. They also host various events such as live music (outside of Red Level restrictions), dart competitions, and sporting events. Additionally, there is a billiards table and jukebox for entertainment.

In 2019, I discovered this pub while exploring the neighborhood. The atmosphere was fantastic, so I decided to sit at the bar and ordered a Guinness. There was a group of people sitting at a large table playing different instruments and singing impromptu songs. It was a truly amazing experience.

I came here on Friday after work for a few drinks and dinner. They have a light menu with lamb chops and potatoes for $17.50, which was a good value for the portion size - I couldn't finish it all! The staff was friendly and warm, and the live music from Gerry was fantastic. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

The best pub food in auckland. never disappointed by one of the decisions. always wins awards for lamb and bark meat. again at the wet weekend and had the bark wellington and partner the pasta. large portion, pasta was the best she had. not bad for an Irish pub. service is great, many Irish vote on the tables, and no sticky Irish decorations like the franchise pubs.

I go out of my way to eat here, a great place for a drink and award winning beef and lamb and pub meals.
