Portillo's Hot Dogs - Maple Grove

The atmosphere, service and food were all above average for a hot dog joint. My wife likes the **** dog, a hot dog is a hot dog, except Portillo?s. I love the Italian beef sandwich and the Greek salad we tried for the first time today. They were excellent and we would order them again. The place was very clean and welcoming. They have a variety of foods.

Upon arrival in Portillos we were greeted by cheerful, vintage jazz music, which set a wonderful tone for our meal. It is one of my favorite restaurant environments, with many vintage and unique items that decorate the walls. Today I ordered a chili dog and the #3 combo (Cheeseburger, Pommes and Soda) that I shared with my Hubby. It was pretty good! I love the Pommes. The burger was MASSIVE, and the chili dog had really nice taste. My only criticism, not only for our meal today, but only for Portillo's in general, I find her rolls to be a little too soft for the cordiality of the protein. Overall we were very happy with our meal. The staff were also friendly. Of course we had to finish our meal with the chocolate cake shake, which is worth a trip that all its own. Amazing!

Great taste of Chicago. Food and the environment are authentic. This location is surrounded by a flourishing community. You will not be disappointed by this choice. I enjoy my visits here.

Eat in here for the first time. My son just finished second grade and brought him here as a treat. Every single person wasn't really friendly. We feel welcome. They even seemed to pick up on this special bonding moment and the manager bought my son a piece of chocolate cake. Hands down restored my faith to go to restaurants to sit down and eat. There was a lady there also the dining room that was very sweet and checked several times for us. My son and I are doing this regularly. I cannot emphasize enough how great everyone was and their customer service was very appreciated today.

Drive thru service was poppin. Team was phenomenal and really enthusiastic. Food was not too bad, my first time being here even though I pass by it often. Hot dogs were pretty big, and had fresh and crunchy (not slimy/squished) toppings.
